Yesterday's game in detail.

Practice game for Kentucky? I think not!
Today's game was a game for memories. Travis Ford, a former guard for the Wildcats early in the 90's. Ford received a standing ovation after his introduction. This game was suppose to have been practice for Kentucky. A blow out if you will, but it was anything but. It became a very sloppy game as kentucky had around 14-17 turnovers in the first half alone.

KENTUCKY 94 - EASTERN KENTUCKY 79

In the first half the bright spot for Kentucky was Keith Bogans as he drained 3 three pointers. Eric Daniels come off the bench to add a spark for a lack-luster effort by the starters. J.P. Blevins also had a tough time from the perimeter. In the second half the wildcats did have a little more emotion. Kentucky did use the press quite a bit causing Eastern Kentucky to turn the ball over a little more.

Saul Smith did play a great game hitting a couple of three pointers in the second half ending up with 17 points and Bogans ending up with 21. Jason Parker was a little disappointing as he only had 3 points and them coming from the free throw line. If this was a quality opponent, Kentucky would have went down for the 4th time this year. Hope they figure it out soon or it will be a long season. They may just play up to their opponent also.

Heroes and Goats

Game ball would go to Keith Bogans as he hit 6 three pointers and ended up with 21 points on the night. In a close second was Saul Smith as he really lead the team tonight and had a quite 17 points.

1-10 Scale

Kentucky gave a real lack - luster effort against a team that they should have beat by 30 points. They showed no emotion in the game good or bad. Tubby Smith didn't treat the team like he should have after watching the freak show. I give the team a 5 just for the way they looked tonight. I also give Tubby Smith a 4 for the way he substituted the players in and out and still don't know how to get the team motivated.
